President's Message

 Hello March!

Let us welcome the third month of the year that marks the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere, the month that symbolizes the rebirth and transformation of Nature.

March is well known for its unpredictable weather,  thus the so many proverbs that describe the phenomenon: "March comes in like a lion and gets out like a lamb", "March winds and April showers", "March is moody,  sometimes crying, sometimes laughing", to mention but a few. In Greece on the 1st day of the month we wear the martakia, bracelets made by twisted red and white threads - a very very old tradition - that is believed they protect the skin from the spring sun and people from evil and bad luck!
